We had a great time with the London Clojurians at the Clojure Dojo hosted by ThoughtWorks on Tuesday night. Lots of cool (and geeky) code written and fun had by all. It was very nice to get together with a lot of different people with different backgrounds and methods and really speak honestly (and sometimes loudly) about Clojure.
It is now clear to me that a good knowledge of emacs is essential for Clojure development and I look forward to using it going forward. And while I am still somewhat sceptical about whether we can start using functional languages such as Clojure to implement large applications, I am definitely more excited to see where I can next use it in my day to day work.
